Day 05 : The Courageous Thing
Today, I’m thinking about the discomfort of being in the in-between. When you’re growing and expanding in many directions and you’re no longer who you once were, but where you’re going feels unfamiliar.
Today, I’m thinking about how vulnerable it is to choose to do the courageous thing. To walk into the discomfort with curiosity and bravery instead of staying put in the familiar, even if it too is less than comfortable.
Today, I’m thinking about what it means to step into the unknown of the liminal, in-between, knowing you’ll be required to shed, decompose, let go, surrender, and dissolve, before the transforming, shape-shifting, metamorphosis.
Today, I’m thinking about how grateful I am to all of the courageous ones who were brave enough to choose vulnerability, despite the discomfort, who walked towards their humanity and inspired the rest of us to open our own hearts to the courageous path.
“Courage is the measure of our heartfelt participation with life, with another, with a community, a work; a future. To be courageous is not necessarily to go anywhere or do anything except to make conscious those things we already feel deeply and then to live through the unending vulnerabilities of those consequences.”

David Whyte
“Vulnerability is the center of shame, scarcity, fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. But it is also the birthplace of love, belonging, and love.”
