Can you allow space for this moment in-between, where you can see and feel both where you’ve been and that which is only just now within sight on the horizon? Can you allow yourself to sink fully into this liminal in-between without trying to rush either the ending or the new beginning?
You could say we are always in this in-between state of being as each breath flows from one to the next, every day’s end leads into a new day’s beginning, all completion unfolds into an invitation to begin again, death unfolds into birth, and birth opens us to death.
Where in your life can you allow yourself to more fully inhabit the transitional unknown? Is it through your breath? In your footsteps leading from one space to the next? As you commute from one destination to the next? Or in observing the rising and setting sun?
Can you locate and hold yourself in the present moment as the abundant gift that it is? And anyway, where did you plan on arriving that wasn’t here already?
