Despite the fact that I didn’t make it to my “official” studio hours today, I found a moment to add a few rows to my weaving at 5pm while at the library with my kids. Libraries are such magical places. What an incredible thing to have so many books available to read for free and quiet spaces with shares to read in. Whenever we go to the library I am always so struck by what a safe haven a library can be. Like a sacred space of worship or a public garden, libraries can be a place that welcomes everyone in and offers the same opportunities to all. It is such a gift to occupy space with others in this world.
