Day 22 : Tarot for the Week Ahead
THE ENERGY OF THIS WEEK:
Six of Swords
This week’s energy is layered, subtle, and possibly tangled with unspoken thoughts or self-protection. This card often speaks to moments where we:
Withhold the truth (from ourselves or others)
Act from a place of self-preservation
Hide or retreat in order to feel safe
But this card is also a reminder that: You don’t have to carry it all alone.
This week invites you to notice where secrecy or inner hiding might be draining your energy and to ask:
What wants to be named, acknowledged, or gently brought into the light?
What have you been holding in silence?
What thoughts, truths, or fears have you tucked away because you didn’t feel ready to speak them?
MOVING TOWARD THIS WEEK:
Three of Swords (Reversed)
You are moving toward healing. Not dramatic or instantaneous, but slow, steady, and honest.
This card suggests that you are ready to feel what you’ve been avoiding. Not because it’s easy, but because your heart is ready to release the weight of old grief, old betrayal, or old heartbreak.
This week may bring:
A quiet release through tears, writing, or reflection
An invitation to forgive (yourself or someone else)
A moment of tenderness for your past self
Remember, the pain doesn’t define you, and you don’t have to keep carrying it in the same way or hold it in.
RELEASING & LETTING GO THIS WEEK:
Four of Swords (Reversed)
You are emerging from the cave.
This card marks the end of a long rest, or a time of solitude that has run its course. You may feel a pull to re-engage with life, even if in very small ways. There’s no need to leap, but you are being invited to take a step out of stillness and back into relationship, creativity, or forward motion.
This could also mean releasing:
Over-isolation
The belief that you have to heal alone
The stagnancy that follows extended retreat
You’re not abandoning the wisdom of rest, you’re honoring that you’re ready for something new to begin.
A GUIDE FOR THIS WEEK:
The Storm
A sister to the Tower card, The Storm undoes all that is. Everything that was solid or known is stripped away.
The ground becomes the sky, the sky becomes the center, and then the center disappears.
The Storm is the great equalizer, from which you cannot hide. You must wait it out. If you try to fight The Storm, you will lose. A better option is to seek temporary shelter and a reliable friend.
When all else fails, go within.
The Storm’s intention is to rebalance your equilibrium. It is a result of precarious conditions, not the cause of them, and it requires your surrender.
