Poem №001
Inspired by Chelsie Diane and David Whyte and an increasing desire to live more deeply into the details of the moments that make up this wild and precious life, I’ve decided to write a poem a day for a year.
I know that some will be magic, and some will be shit. Some will be tender, and some may be fierce. But whatever arises within and around me, each day from now until June 17th, 2026, I will put words to the page and share them here.
Today is day one. Today, I begin.
We were standing on the edge.
An abyss before us.
Our whole lives laid out on the earth.
No turning back
An inevitable end.
We had a choice:
To die before our time
Or abandon the illusion
Live into the moment
Embody the present.
We chose to live
And became an ocean
Expanding beyond everything.
And the end
Became the beginning
And we were free at last.
